Raymond Military Park selected 2013 Civil War Trust Adventure Trail of the Year
Raymond Military Park was selected as the Adventure Trail of the Year for 2013 by the Civil War Trust.
The CWT held its annual conference in Jackson, MS, on May 29—June 2,
2013, in Jackson, MS. The theme for the conference was Unvexed to the Sea: The Vicksburg Campaign. Conference attendees toured Raymond Military Park on Thursday, May 30, with our own Gen. Parker Hills acting a tour guide. Oth- er tours included the Vicksburg National Military Park, Jackson, Vicksburg, Port Gibson, Grand Gulf, Dillon’s Plantation, Rocky Springs, Willow Springs, Clinton, Champion Hill, and other battle significant sites.
Friends of Raymond is proud to participate each spring in the national Park Day event sponsored by the Civil War Trust and the History Channel.
